1,400 Kilometres by Kayak
World First by an Adaptive Team
Aiming to Raise Over £100,000 for Charity
Kayak 4 Heroes is a team of five aiming to achieve a world first by becoming the first ‘adaptive team’ (containing individuals with injuries/disabilities) to complete the iconic British challenge of Land’s End to John O’ Groats by kayak – an incredibly testing journey of 1,400 kilometres. The team will have to work together to overcome their respective injuries and disabilities in order to succeed, and hope to inspire the next generation of disabled athletes and explorers by doing so.
In the process, Kayak 4 Heroes is hoping to raise over £100,000 for the Armed Forces Para-Snowsport Team (AFPST) charity.
In July 2021, the team will set off on the 1,400-kilometre journey from Land’s End in Cornwall and will tackle some of the United Kingdom’s toughest and most exposed waters before arriving at John O’ Groats in Scotland.
